About Erin

I don’t want adventure to be something I used to do.

Erin in Wanderland is about choosing curiosity, movement and wonder in the middle of motherhood — not waiting until life gets less full.

Mom. Homeschooler. Hiker. Backpacker. Still curious.

I’m Erin, and I love the kind of days that leave dirt on your shoes and something new in your head.

I’m a homeschool mom who also happens to love high places, long trails, backpacking trips, sunrises worth waking up for, and the feeling of finding out I can do something that looked intimidating from far away.

This space is not about pretending adventure is effortless. It’s about making room for it anyway — while raising kids, teaching at home, managing the ordinary responsibilities of family life, and growing into the person I’m still becoming.

I write about the places I go, what I learn there, and how an adventurous life can belong inside motherhood instead of competing with it.

Why Wanderland?
Because wonder is not a destination. It’s a way of paying attention.
The kind of life I’m after

Strong legs. Open eyes. A family that knows how to be amazed.

I want my kids to know that learning happens everywhere, that hard things are survivable, and that the world rewards people who are willing to look closely and keep going.

I also want them to see their mom doing things that matter to her — growing, exploring, trying, sometimes failing, and heading back out anyway.
